Cymbopogon citratus

Description:

Lemon Grass also known as serai, oil grass, fever grass, is a clump-forming grass grow up to 0.6m tall or 1.2m tall.

Leaf blades are light green and strap-shaped. Crushed leaves eliminated a pleasant lemony scent that may help to control mosquito proliferation.

Lemon Grass is a fast grower. Prefers moist, well-drained loamy soils, but will tolerate most other soil types.

If grown in containers, plant can be divided and separated regularly.

Used in a variety of Southeast Asian dishes, such as curries, seafood, poultry dishes, and soups like Tom Yam Soup.

Water:

Gently trim away dry, brown, or yellowish leaves by using a pair of secateurs.
