The blue pea flower is well-known for its purplish-blue flowers that are commonly used as a food dye.

It is a natural coloring for food such as Nasi Kerabu, traditional Nyonya dessert (kueh), blue glutinous rice cake, kueh lapis, brew tea, etc

Support the creeping plant by using staking or bamboo stick so that it can spread further.

Full sun or partial sun.


Check regularly and water as needed.

Never let the soil dry out completely.


Feed with all-purpose organic fertilizer once or twice a month to provide nutrients for growth and flowering.


Gently trim away dry, brown, or yellowish leaves by using a pair of secateurs.

Trimming allows available nutrients in the soil to be transferred into the new leaves which encourage intentional growth.

Also, trimming allows your plants to retain in a good shape and keep pests, fungal and diseases away.
