Fact Sheet and Plant Guide

Tagetes lucida

Common Name:

Mexican Tarragon

Description:

Tarragon is a perennial herb with long, light green leaves and tiny greenish or yellowish white flowers.

It provides fragrant leaves that can be harvested and preserved for cooking year-round.

Tarragon grows best in a deep, loamy soil that holds moisture, but drains well.

Tarragon is a good companion to most vegetables in the garden.

You will need to prune it regularly to prevent too much flowering. This will help keep the plant producing more leaves.
